prescribe

i had to go to the doctor a week ago and they prescribed me atarax. i took one last night before bed, like it says to do on the bottle, and i was tossing and turning for an hour before i could get to sleep (it normally takes me 10-15 minutes). but when i did fall asleep, i slept very soundly and had a long, vivid, coherent dream, and i somehow slept for 12 hours. and for a few hours after i woke up, everything was slightly confusing. it wasn't very serious and the best way i can describe it is a constant feeling of "not getting it", like when someone says something and you can tell it's supposed to be funny but you can't exactly tell why so you don't laugh.

i guess this medication is supposed to reduce anxiety, but i don't know, i think i sort of hate it.
